Arugula - annual - Eruca sativa - Brassica family - 35-40 days
So easy to grow. Peppery tasting serrated leaves are a a beloved salad ingredient these days. The spiciness adds a great bite to anything you add it to. If you let it reseed, you will always have Arugula. It will naturalize anywhere the wind or rain takes it. Resow many times throughout the season to combat early bolting and early flea beetles. It grows fast! Flowers are edible too and have the same hint of pepper.
