NEW! Blue Sage
NEW FOR 2024!
Blue Sage - Salvia azurea - Perennial
Deep blue, two-lipped flowers adorn tall stems not his spectacular plant. Also called Azure Sage, it is Native to the grasslands, prairies and the edges of woodlands of North America. Profuse blooms can make the up to 5' stems flop over. Either provide support or grow with other tall, sturdy prairie flowers like sunflowers and purple coneflower.
This plant does well in Colorado, I have admired it for many years. The blue color gives our Bluebird Skies it's due respect.
Press the seed into the soil in late fall, it needs light to germinate. If you don't get it in before the snow blanket, stratify in the fridge for 30 days and start plants in pots. This plant gets large and tall so give it a place to make a statement.
