Never bitter, excellent round yellow cucumbers smother the plant. You can eat these like an apple, absolutely delicious. Great for slicing on sandwiches and for pickling.

More drought and frost tolerant than other varieties. I've observed that cucumbers like morning sun and afternoon shade - this is particularly important when grown under high-altitude sun.
Cucumbers prefer to be direct seeded in warm soil. Provide a trellis and plant 1/2" deep after all danger of frost is past.
