Tangerine Gem Marigold - Tagetes tenuifolia - 60 days
Prepare yourself for a profusion of tangerine colored blooms on very small plants. I tucked these in amongst the bok choy, tomatillos and leeks - sooooo lovely! Unlike other marigolds, they have a citrusy smell and taste!
All marigolds are an excellent companion in the garden, they attract beneficial insects and repel the insects you don't want.
Easy to grow, you can start them in pots 4-6 weeks before the last frost or simply direct seed them where you want them. I do both.
Cover lightly and gently firm the soil over them. Water through germination.
