NEW!! Hardy Plumbago
NEW FOR 2025!!
Ceratostigma plumbaginoides
Long-lived Perennial
Hardy Plumbago is a beautiful ground cover. It grows 6-10" tall and 12-18" wide. It likes morning sun and afternoon shade although it can handle full sun. In the fall the calyces turn a beautiful burgundy and so do the leaves. When the leaves are half green, half burgundy and the stunning blue flowers are still blooming, it's a sight to behold.
Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Plant them 1/4" and give plenty of time for germination, keeping the seedbed or pots moist. Harden them off well and set out in warm weather.
Carefree and hardy, they will run and fill in even tough spots in the garden. Plants are toxic. Always teach your children what plants they can eat and what they cannot, they are natural gardeners and will remember.
