This is the perfect pickling cucumber. Harvest young, 6" fruits regularly to encourage set. Cucumbers prefer morning sun and afternoon shade, especially in the mountains. Crisp and tender with very small seeds at the pickling stage, they can also be enjoyed raw.
I mulch cucumbers heavily to keep beds evenly moist.
Cucumbers love to climb and trellising gives space in the garden and keeps them off the ground. You can let them ramble across the mulch.
Prolific, disease resistant.
Direct sow in warm soil 1/2" deep.
