Ring of Fire Cayenne Pepper - Capsicum annuum - 60 days from transplant
Incredibly early! A hot pepper for short seasons! This beloved hot pepper is a staple in most kitchens. You can make sauces, dry for flakes or add fresh to recipes.
50,000 Scoville units means it's extra hot. A little goes a long way!
Fruits are long and slender, bright red and prolific.
Start seeds 4-6 weeks before the last frost.Sow lightly, no more than 1/4". Harden plants off well and don't set out until weather is stable and soil is warm. Place plants 2' apart. Mulch well with organic matter. Adapted to heat and can handle some drought.
Up here at high-altitude, we slightly shade our peppers as high altitude sun can scorch the leaves and fruits.
