I find this beauty is moist places. A seep, you know, where the water runs. They are quite tall, 2-3' and are great forage for elk and deer. I thought they are very beautiful. Allow to spread and make its own stand. Large, white and sometimes slightly pinkish 5 petaled, 1" flowers with a 5-pointed lobed calyx bloom along the stem. So cool.
Plant in fall or late winter. Scarify the seeds with a file or sandpaper before planting 1/8th" deep.
