This little beauty had a year in 2025. I found it in shades of lavender and white. I found it near a pond and also in an open forest where the water ran through a meadow. It was not a boggy place, they were just clustered near the low spots. This gentian is delightful!
It grows 2-20" on slender stems with clusters of sweet flowers appearing along the stem. Diminutive but with a closer look - just as beautiful as any Gentian.
Gentians need light to germinate so plant on the surface. It needs winter so plant in fall-early winter or moist stratify in the refrigerator for 30-60 days.
