NEW FOR 2026!!

Oxytropis lambertii

Purple Locoweed

Perennial

3-8" tall plants with deep wine colored, showy pea flowers are a favorite of spring. In early spring, this beauty comes on with Paintbrush, Fleabane and Penstemon, giving an incredible mixture of color.

The seed needs to be scarified before sowing. Soak the seeds for 24 hours before sowing. You can plant them in early spring.

Sow seeds 1/16th" deep.

This is a drought tolerant plant and it prefers lean soil with good drainage. You will find it in pine parklands, dry slopes, meadows and riparian habitats.

I think it's so beautiful.
