Black Seed Simpson Lettuce

50 days to maturity. This is one of my all-time favorite lettuces. So beautiful and sweet - it stands out in mixes. It's also a great beginning when mixing your own Mesclun. Soft, loose-leaf crunchy leaves are beautifully ruffled.
Lettuce loves the cool and is so easy to grow. Can grow from full sun to half shade and appreciates dappled light in the sunny west. Succession plant for continued harvest.
This plant really gives.
Direct sow in spring or start indoors 4 weeks before the last frost. Sow lightly and firm the soil down gently.
