Saving tomato seed requires a ‘wet save' - fermenting the seeds, then rinsing them clean with water. I catch the seed water into a bucket to pour on the compost. There is always good seed left in the bottom of the buckets and I can't throw it away so - this is every variety I grow. Whenever a tomato gets lost - falls off the vine - it goes in the mixed bucket and the seed is saved together - another reason for the name.
